OMG maybe it's even in Berlin - I'D BE SO EMBARRASSED UGH.
As for meaning, well, it looked nice? Okay, actually it felt right. The ruins seemed appropriate for the state of their relationship and it lends the image a certain sense of... epicness? If I say so myself. :D
