In an interview given in March 2008, he accused LiveJournal users of "trying to scare and blackmail us, threatening to destroy our business," and stated that a large class of users have as their only purpose bringing harm to LiveJournal and its founders; "their goal is to criticize, destablilize and ruin our reputation." I'm thinking the more failjay users switch to DW (or other sites), the less people can say 'but aaaaaall my friends are here at lj!' Of course, I will use my paid account till it runs out (summer next year) but this really feels like the end of a very long line. :(

Yeah, I get that you're all tied up here. OTOH, if someone would pay your rent to a really nice house, but at some point the landlord decided to turn all the walls of your nice house to glass so that everyone could see inside your home... Hmm, you know what I mean?

I'm very sure that people will stay even if LJ becomes a second FB. Because they're stuck in their ways and OMG IT'S SO HARD TO IMPORT CONTENT. I CANNOT POSSIBLY CHECK ONE BUTTON.

I'm still optimistic. Yesterday there were two entrys to the same effect on my flist; there are others, also on my flist, who still crosspost but are not active on failjay anymore...

So, sure, maybe nothing will get as big as eljay, but a good number of users are aware (and offended enough) and make the leap. I suppose it also depends on who you're hanging with and if the more popular ones move over to DW. I think it's still possible that DW becomes a new and better home to at least a part of fandom. FINGERS CROSSED.

I understand everyone who wants so much to change to DW but I think it is a pitty - gee, how long it took me to grow warm with LJ and create my circle of friends here...And now so many people speak about leaving. I'm just afraid we will lose this family feeling of this community here..

Anyway, may I ask you sth? I've tried to upload some pics on my DW account but the function doesn't allow me to upload it directly from my computer - LJ does. How do you upload your pics on DW?
